Matt Cockayne : Artist - Illustrator

Hey, I’m Matt Cockayne — a Sheffield-born, Chesterfield-based artist with a lifelong love of drawing and all things local.

For over a decade I’ve been creating artwork inspired by the places, people, memories and character of Yorkshire and Derbyshire. My work has a strong connection to Sheffield and the Peak District, mixing bold colour, illustration, nostalgia and a bit of humour to create artwork that feels familiar but has my own twist.

From Peak District landscapes and Sheffield landmarks to football-inspired artwork, 90s nostalgia, home portraits and completely bespoke commissions, I create pieces designed to bring a little personality to your walls.

Everything is created from my own studio, where I’m able to concentrate on making new artwork, developing new collections and working on commissions.
