New artwork release

New artwork release

Hi,

I have been planning for a few months on creating a Sheffield inspired mashup. After weeks of researching some of Sheffield’s much loved landmarks, past and present I compiled a list of buildings, businesses and local scenery to create this unique piece.

The main feature of the artwork is the different perspectives, ranging from the foreground of “Lower Don Valley” to the background of the artwork which is the Peak District and in between the two is the epicentre of the piece - our much loved city centre.

The mix of old and new architecture was a perticular point I wanted to add, I haven’t seen any images of the Diamond or the Cheese Grator yet, so i definitely wanted to get to grips on drawing these buildings.

It’s always nice to have the old places added in, like the Henderson’s Relish factory and City Hall but i belive it’s important to embrace the future and I personally love the mix of old and new in Sheffield.

The original hand drawn artwork has been reserved for a collector and she can’t wait to hang it in her home in Mosborough - so i’m glad it’s staying in the city.

Many hours of love have gone into the piece and I’m pleased to say there are now 250 Limited Edition hand signed prints availabe to purchase on the Goo website.

If you love Sheffield - you’re going to love this print.

Cheers, Matt

Hi
How much are your limited edition artworks of the Sheffield mashup, do you have any left to purchase. What size are they and what are the prints on. Thanks
