Reyt on cue at the Crucible.
Right on Cue
This year I have been given the honour of producing a special artwork to celebrate the 40 anniversary of the World Snooker Championship being hosted by our very own Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
The First tournament held in Sheffield was way back in 1977 at the Crucible which has now become an institution for the game and rightly so. Personally I have always shown an interest in the snooker so to be given the responsibility to produce such an artwork is a huge honour and one I am very proud of.
I wanted to draw a kind of time-lapse piece from 1977 -2017 and decided a boyhood dream of a child’s progression from spectator to being a contender in the tournament to finally becoming a home grown champion would be quite apt and appeal to not just the people of Sheffield but snooker fans in general.
All the prints come signed and numbered on a high quality thick glossy paper in a protective tube.
An affordable alternative to original art, canvas pops off the wall with rich texture, colour and detail. The artist-grade cotton canvas is wrapped onto a 1.5" deep frame to add that extra style to your home.
